A time for everything...

I don't recall ever having prayed Michelangelo's words. But I certainly feel as if I'm living a life where that prayer is being answered as requested. How about you? Sort of a universal theme for those of us who enjoy so many pursuits, isn't it? (please pretend that Michelangelo is spelled correctly in the picture above!!!)

Summer, for me, only intensifies that feeling of wanting to go in about 100 different directions. And many days it feels as if I have! Of course, people like me, with a streak of ADHD, get there faster than you other "normal" folks. Unfortunately with all that summer has to offer I'm finding it difficult to post as often as I would like. Hopefully I'll catch up soon as I've been busy in my PIG STY craft room working on some fun items. Even in that place I seem to jump from one project to the next before completing the first. But that's okay. Sometimes I need to let things sit for a bit and mull it over. Some pursuits can't be rushed, can they? Creating is often a process. Stepping away for a spell can bring new clarity.

In fact, that is one of my pursuits lately. Stepping back, taking a look with new eyes, and waiting for the wisdom to move forward. It was during one of these contemplative moments that an inspiration came for one of my projects. I'm just loving how it is progressing and will hopefully share it soon. It's a creative little piece to HOPEFULLY help me focus on an important aspect of life. A place where artsy pursuits meets real life. Stay tuned...

As I was gathering materials for this project I sifted through my ever-growing stash of gathered quotes. I adore quotes. There is a lot of wisdom to be gleaned from many of them. A couple that stood out with respect to using our time wisely were as follows:

"We have all eternity to celebrate our victories, but only one short hour before sunset in which to win them." ~Robert Moffat (1795-1883)

"We are always getting ready to live, but never living." ~Emerson

Wise words indeed. So along that sentiment of "time" I've scanned in one of my vintage pieces of clock parts. Please feel free to save it to your computer and use it in your own artwork.
Hope you are all squeezing every bit of life out of this wonderful time of the year!
xoxo
Sue
